Pricing on 2014 F150's
Looking at trading in my 2011 model for a 2014, the deals i've seen so far are up to 10k off of MSRP. I've looked and can't really find a true answer as when the 2015 models will role out. I guess what i'm asking is when is the best time to buy a 2014 model is and how long Ford will continue the incentives and rebates on the 14 models. The one big dealership somewhat close by says the incentives end 7/7/14, don't know if the breaks for the 14's after that will get bigger, stay about the same or not. Appreciate any info you guys have.

Having sold for a Ford dealership for five years (2002-2007) I'm guessing it's a safe bet that rebates on 2014 models will continue past July and get better if anything. Ford and the dealers will want to clear the lots as the 2015 models start arriving.

The dealership is trying to instill a sense of urgency, no problem with that, it's a common sales tactic. No doubt new incentives will be announced on 7/8/14 and they'll likely be the same if not better.
However, the other consideration is inventory. The longer you wait to buy a 2014 model, the less inventory there will be to choose from.

September/October of last year there was no shortage of 2013 F150s and 10k+ rebates around my parts. Depends on trim, packages with the trim, memberships, Ford finance and trade ins.

My prediction is that '14s will go like hot cakes once the '15s are out.
There will be some buyers that will swoop in on the '15s just because they are "new and cool".
There will be many more buyers that will scoop up the '14s because the '15s are: Ugly, new and unproven, undoubtedly more expensive.
Those reasons are why I ordered a '14 in February.

I bought my '13 in Feb of this year. Advertised price was a little over 10K off sticker.
Several dealers in my area told me that they (this other dealer 120 miles away) would not honor that price once I got there. I proved them wrong...and bought my truck at the "distant dealer".
Our local dealers wanted at least 5K more for the same truck.

Good points...I think for now i'm going to hold out at least until late summer or early fall and keep an eye out on the incentives for the 14's. I'm really interested in that year. Not so hot on the 2015's right now just from an ascetics standpoint and i'm sure the insurance will be $$$ due to the integrated aluminium on the body.

I won't buy a vehicle for the first couple of years that a whole new model is offered (ie: the completely re-engineered 2015 F150) ... no matter how good it is, there are always bugs, quirks, issues, etc. that have to be worked out by putting them in the market and getting feedback from daily drivers.
That's why I got my 2014 a couple months ago before the inventory got too slim to get what i wanted. Despite the fact that there are always things I would have designed differently in any vehicle, I couldn't be happier with my new truck. I absolutely love it.
