President Obamas's Tires Make Yours Look Like Mini-Donuts
First and foremost, this is not a political post. I am retired military, and whoever we vote for is my commander in chief so I don't want to see any political comments here.
I live in Seattle and we (my neighboirhood) have just been visited by the President of the United States. The "No Parking" signs went up on Friday and there was some speculation as to whether or not it would be the President, (on a fund raising tour) or they would be re-paving our street (much needed). As his trip had been reported on our local news by Sunday it became obvious when our neighborhood was full of the young clean-cut men in black raincoats and they were'nt promoting the latter-day-saints. I live two driveway's outside the entrance to a gated community of a Seattle suburb called "The Highlands" that was the expected location of the political fund raiser. Anyway, at the appointed hour I walked up to the intersection were I expected the President to pass and turn North into "The Highlands" and waited for something to happen. Me, being me, I came fully equiped with my lawn chair, drink (rusty nail) and cigar. The SPD officers in charge of the intersection confined all the spectators to the Southeast corner of the intersection away from the drive that entered the community so I stragicly place my chair at the closest position at the very edge of the curb. When the motorcaide finally arrived instead of turning North into "The Highlands" they turned South into my neighborhood. When the two Limos with the president and whoever arrived they cut the corner and thus I was confronted with the two biggest front tires that I have ever seen in my life! I know what your thinking but I have been paying close attention to tires lately having just increased the tires on my F150 to 32 inch and those were the biggest tires I have ever seen! Honest!

What...front row seats and no pics!
Joking; we have had lots of Presidential visits and sure has been a hassle every time with all the security and restricted access on the streets, but my wife got to stand very close to Clinton when she was still in the media and so that was cool. And it's crazy what they bring into town with the special limos and entourage.

I Like Tires
Emergency vehicle tires are insane man. I've installed a couple and they are a bh!! Plus those wheels have an extended ring to ride on if the tires do actually go flat and keep the sidewall intact.
