Default Powerstop brakes locked up on wet pavement

I put a set of Powerstop z-36 pads and rotors on approx 6 weeks ago. I did the break in procedure right after. Today while driving in rain and wet pavement I had to make a very hard stop.

One of the tries locked up and I also didnt feel or hear the abs working. Is this normal for these breaks to act that way? Do I have something else wrong? No abs lights are on.

The tires are BFG KO2.

The truck is a 14 crew cab 4x4

Thanks for any info

Just one? I have locked all 4 up with the PS. If just one locks, it isn't the pads, but the ABS.

Wife was with me and said it was both back ones. Was on a country road so there could be a worn/slick area. Couldn't duplicate it again.

Sounds plausible. I haven't encountered just one axle locking, but with the crapyear tires on, it could happen on mine too. So looking forward to replacing them, even though they only have 6K on them, they have horrible wet weather traction and could do what yours did.

Might be the anti-slip system? My previous car controlled the slippage by applying the brakes independently on the 4 wheels.

Try to engage the ABS voluntary (hard brakes on wet pavement or on gravel, for instance) and see if the ABS system is working on the other wheels.

I put the power stop brakes on my 2014 XLT. About a month later I was following a semi on the interstate in a rain storm. Suddenly the semi came to a complete stop and I had to get on my brakes hard. I heard a couple of the tires slide briefly and then my truck came to a well controlled straight stop. Thank you ABS. And yes, I was following too closely for the conditions.
