Default Police/ A pillar/ post mount spotlight

So about 6 months ago, I installed a Unity spotlight on my A pillar. Install went easy and I have no regrets. But then I get a better idea..... A spot light with integrated thermal night vision camera! Video fed right to your DVD head units screen. More of a pipe dream really because its way too expensive. But how cool would that be?

Look up FLIR, they make a stealthy install camera. Do want either though!

I've seen those ontop of the search lights on a couple of local police cars. I was wondering what the hell they were. Its a hell of an idea.

Yes. This unit is also a FLIR (forward looking infrared). About $4100 in case you want to throw one on your rig. Lol.

We use something similar on our hunting vehicles in Texas. One of our systems is a magnetic roof mount scanner that rotates 360 deg by remote from the cab. It has its own screen that comes with it in the case. We also run it through our in dash screen so everyone in the vehicle can see it. Unfortunately $1,400 won't come close to buying one of these things.

Our other thermal system is a handheld scanner that is very portable. This works great for walking in one feeders at night and doing night calling.

The third and final piece of the puzzle is a thermal gun mounted scope. It's purpose is fairly obvious. It finishes off the job when either one of the other two systems find what we are looking for.

The cheapest piece of these three units starts @ 5k.

Here's a picture of the in dash screen on one of our hunting rigs using the roof mounted thermal.

You can see three guys in the image that are roughly 50-60 yards away from the vehicle in thick brush. All 7 of our roof mounted Rigid lights were turned on lighting the area in front of the vehicle as bright as the days sun and you couldn't see them with the naked eye due to the thick brush. Thermal sees all though.

Didn't mean to hijack you JC. Was hoping to add to the justification of you getting one.
