Pistol mount

I will be doing this this weekend.
Just look and buy a "paddle" holster as most the paddle comes off with two screws. I will use these two screws to mount the revolver inside the console.
I will post images when done. All you will see are tow nice flat head machine screws out side the console on the passenger side.

I'm sure he'll pause so we can have a heart to heart about it. I'll just explain, You need to be "Careful with that Axe, Eugene"".
I'm sure it will work out.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying strip everybody of their weapons, but something needs to be done to regulate weapons. For example mags, transporting of weapons. And maybe I'm a little confused so feel free to sort me out, why the hell do you need fully automatic long guns?
I mean I've spent 2years in combat, and I have never had a need to fire on full auto, mainly because its not accurate fire, and it's a waste of ammo

Except for a few instances, all the gun violence that happens here is from people that don't care or follow the law. Or the mentally unstable. Yes there are a few stories of law abiding citizens making bad decisions (certain Florida case comes to mind) but there aren't that many.

Just a question to folks, here (I am a canadian as well, and a gun owner), I have done some extensive travelling in the States, and seen some bad areas, I get why you want/need a gun in the truck. I personally store my 870 in my bedroom (in a gun cabinet) just in case. But as far as I know only a handful of states have carry laws, and even fewer have concealed carry.
For those of you outside of these states, are there not laws around how you carry a firearm in the vehicle, and what do you do when you have to leave the truck? The thought of leaving a potentially loaded firearm in a vehicle unattended seems like a bad idea. One guy early on mentioned having "vault" installed. That seems like a reasonable precaution.
For the record, I know lots of great Americans, and one of the things I like about their country is they stand up for what they believe in. Quite frankly, as Canadians, our culture is so different (really it is) we don't have any more right to criticize theirs, than they do to criticize ours. If they want guns in their trucks great, let'em have them. If we don't act a little more like them, it won't be long before I will have to notify the police every time I want to take my 870 out to hunt deer. If the long gun registry wasn't proof enough of that, then we weren't paying close enough attention.

To obtain a CCW permit, one has to be fingerprinted and undergo a lengthy background check by the FBI. It is no-nonsense. Any person holding a CCW is almost guaranteed to be mentally sane and have a clean record.

Last thing I want to do is shoot someone, but if it comes between me and them, it will be them! There are many more states in the USA, than you think, that have concealed carry licenses. I have only had to pull and point my gun at one person in 20 years and I credit me having that gun to preventing the situation from accelerating into a physical conflict!

Most all States are "Shall Issue".
I think a majority of the States have "Open Carry" as well. I wish we did here in Texas.

OP asked how to mount a pistol in a truck and all of the sudden the libs start freaking out and blaming our belief in protecting ourself and loved ones?
This is not a Toyota Prius forum dammit! For the most part we all have common sense with reality.
Back on topic, while I like the under steering wheel location it would only be good if the holster can be removed just as easily as the gun itself. Otherwise an empty holster is an invitation to have your truck broken into to see if there's a gun hidden elsewhere. I also think that 20% tint or darker would be a must if you have that setup.
PS: I have an AR-15 in my house, does that freak out all the folks in Canada? Do I need it? I hope not, but I sure as hell don't want to be outgunned by the bad guys if the situation in my house presents itself
