Default Are the Pirelli Scorpion tires any good?

I have the choice to change them if I want and my Bro says to get BF Goodrich All Terrain. Any thoughts on this people?

I have a 2wd and I love the Perelli Scorpions. Had them for 48,000mi before I changed them and put the same tire back on and hoping to get the same milage on these.

In Calgary, change them in a heartbeat.

I switched mine at 1200 miles. In Minnesota.

They are good highway tires, but in real ice and snow they are terrible.

Agree. Worked very well on pavement and in the rain.

I third their opinion. Decent enough in the summer, but not good in winter.

I have had zero issues with the Pirellis here in central IL. Even in ice and snow.

I hated the Pirelli Scorpion tires. They were terrible in the rain, in snow and horrid on ice. I couldn't back up, in 2 wheel drive, the 3 degree incline of my driveway in less than an inch of snow. If I glanced out the side of the truck, while driving, it would head for the shoulder of the road. I wanted to stay with a "P" rated tire, so I went with Firestone Destinations in the factory size 20 inch tires. It was a totally different driving experiance. The truck is now very good to excellent in the snow, on ice and in the rain and it is extremely stable. The ride may be slightly firmer.

I love the BFG TA tires, but they will give a much harder ride.

I found the Pirelli Scorpion tires to be the worst tires I have ever owned over the past 48 years.

I hope this helps.

Have them on my 2wd. I would change them if I were you. I can just assume I'm stuck at home with my truck if it snows more than a flurry. Great for non winter conditions though.

You would be stuck at home no matter what tires you have on a 2 wheel drive in more than a flurry, lol
