It's the electronic turn switch. I personally hate most electronic equipment, so I'd much rather have the manual shifter than the switch. Never know when the switch will break or get a gremlin.

engine looks astonishingly clean - did you just power wash it or did you use some sort of a degreaser?

powerwash every other month or so and use armor all on the black plastic. i have had the same routine for 10 years
