painted Yeti Cups

Not that it really matters, because it would still be a $70 expense ... but I wonder if the 32oz cup comes with the $70 purchase, or if that's just the cost of the painting, and you have to supply the cup yourself on top of that.

You can find the cups on Ebay and various other sites for $20-$25. I got two shipped via Ebay for $48 a few weeks ago. Found a local decal shop and had a few simple ones made so we knew which cup was which for about $10.
They are beyond awesome. I can have something cold and ice with it and take it out with me detailing cars and the ice will last all day. I just have to refill the water. Keeps coffee hot for 8+ hours and ice takes days to melt in it.
I'm not one that needs the $400+ dollar coolers/ice chests, but for $25 or so bucks for a really well insulated cup, I'll take it.

So I did some light reading on these cups. Reviews generally seem to back up the manufacturer's claims of keeping drinks ice cold for many hours. I don't really have a need for a travel mug/thermos on a daily basis but if I'm ever in the market for one I would plop $30 to try one out. Sounds like it would be great for fishing, camping, road trips, etc.

I can fill up my Tervis with ice and water, and it will keep all the ice for about 7 hours. The guys with the Yeti cups do the same thing, and at the end of the day they still have most of their ice left.
My wife keeps asking when I'm getting my Yeti cup, but I'm holding off for now. I want to see if they revise the design to have a more solid top on them ... one that screws on and has an open/close feature on it (as opposed to just a clear plastic top that has a slit in it for drinking.)

Yea the lid seems like the weak point. A friend told me that the O-rings tend to degrade after several months.
What I'm really interested in are the coolers. They look awesome. No way in hell I can justify the price though. I just wouldn't use it often enough.

I have the 20oz that i have had for about a 6months. Still holding up great no issues with oring on lid.
Just picked up a 30oz other day.
Also have the smaller Yeti roadie 20 cooler. Works amazing
And i have a 110 yeti cooler on way due to getting in on deal with some special pricing.
Was amazed with what these cups/coolers do.

$15, two gallons. Sits outside in 85° weather for 8+ hours and still has ice the next day....go ahead, try to convince me, not going to happen.

I'm a fan of the Yeti coolers but there so heavy to be practical but the cup on the other hand is F$&@ing awesome!
I have a 20Qt Roadie, 65Qt Tundra, & a 30Oz Rambler, still debating on getting a 30Qt Hopper.

In my opinion, the cups work better than the coolers. Using the lid is a must though. Ice last for 24 hours with the lid on. The Tervis cant hold a candle to the Yeti cups. I've had both, got rid of my Tervis cups. They are not insulated. Double walled doesn't mean insulated
