Paint chips happen to F150 with steel bodies as well. There are very few paint jobs that will hold up to small rocks traveling at high velocity. My 2014 Limited with only 5,000 miles on it already has a few small paint chips.

In all fairness my 2011 chipped if I looked at it sideways. The first time I washed it the chips on the tailgate from shipping transport the dealer had touched up amazingly appeared. Lacquer T.U. paint and enamel paint don't play well together. I only wish I was there when they detailed my trade in as the hundreds of little chips magically appeared. LOL, paybacks are a mother.....

Wondering is this due to the paint integrity on the new aluminum body ?? Has anyone else seen this on their aluminum body truck.

Disappointed
I myself have 2015 super crew and my paint seems to chip like it's damn near wet paint. Love truck not happy with paint at all !!

My 16 chipped from road salt, and took the clear coat with it.
