Order a new F-150 on April 30th and the dealer is telling me the delivery date is August 6th. When I order thr truck I was told 6 to 8 weeks. Just looking to see if anyone had a truck order around that time and how long did it take a get it deliver. Just checking to see if the dealer is giving me the run around. Thanks for any info.

Ordered my truck on March 17th
Truck was built on April 14th
I took delivery on April 29th

ordered on Dec. 28, built mid Feb. Delivered Apr. 5. Shipping from factory to dealer sucks.

I'm told much of it has to do with the options you choose.
Some can be on constraint.

I was a bit concerned because I ordered my King Ranch with every option. (Except chrome)

Thanks I was told 6 to 8 weeks 7 weeks later a buddy goes in for a oil change on his truck and talks to the salesperson and at first he didn't remember me and than he told him it would be in next week so I called and he told me that the truck was not schedule until July 23.

I was told 6-8 weeks. Came in at 9.5 weeks

Mine was ordered May 7th
Built June 5th
Arrived at Dealer June 19th.
I would have been enjoying the new truck except it was delivered with some kind of chemical/acid that was on the roof. It dried leaving the paint either missing, bubbling or having textured effect about 4" wide by 30" long.
Needless to say the truck went back to Ford cause I didn't want it and neither did the dealer. I'm hoping they can reorder another one. I'm waiting to find out if they can.

I think that 6 to 8 weeks has to be taken with a big grain of salt.
When I bought my 2013 it was in transit to the dealer. They had ordered it 6 weeks before to sell on the lot and it just happened to be exactly what I wanted.
Anyway even though the truck was built and already in transit it still took a month to get to the dealer. Had I have ordered the truck myself I bet it would have taken 10 - 12 weeks before it was in the driveway.
