F-150 Student Journalism - Please Help
Hello everyone. I am currently enrolled in a narrative journalism course at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, and I have been assigned to create a project that performs digital storytelling. As my school is less than five miles from the Dearborn Truck Plant, I have decided to base my project on the Ford F-150. The goal of this project is to interview people and tell stories about them and their trucks.
It does not matter if your truck is older or newer, I am simply looking for stories about people and their F-150s. If anyone would be willing to share some stories with me, all I would need for this project would be a picture of you with your truck, its year and mileage, and a story about your time with it. If you are willing to share, your geographic location (such as city, state, or country) would be useful as well. Trucks that you do not own anymore, but had good times with, would also be great, as long as you have a picture with them.
As of right now, the angle of my piece will likely be that the F-150 allows people to do what they want and/or need to do. I believe that the F-150 represents much more to people than a mode of transportation, and I look forward to reading anything that you are willing to share about what you do with your F-150.
If you have any questions, please let me know. Feel free to share in the replies, or if you would like to share stories privately, you can email f150stories@gmail.com. Thank you in advance; I truly appreciate it. I have posted on a few Facebook groups and only received a couple of replies. One member of a Facebook group suggested I would have better luck on this forum.
