If you take a look at the picture, you can see I can't get a fuel line disconnect tool in the fuel line heads where it needs to be to be able to remove the lines. Well, for sure not one side where there should be a gap between the fuel filter and line. any advice or suggestions?
I have had this issue in the past.
I blasted WD-40 best I could into the connector and in my case it was full of dirt and debris. Then I blasted it over and over while trying to rotate the connector back and forth with a twisting motion. Once I got the connector to rotate I then started pulling and pushing on the connector until the O-rings came free from the tubing, once the O-rings freed up the connector could be pulled out far enough for the release tool to be inserted. More shots of WD-40 to get the dirt out and it finally came free, frustrating.

I will have to give it a try ! Then I will post an update. Thanks Jim.
problem fixed what I did to fix It was cut off the fuel filter on both sides with snips, and then I was able to get my tool around the broken-off ends in the fuel lines, pressing the tool in and twisting, and then the broken ends came out. Installed a new fuel filter. Check out the after photo!
