I'd say if you don't have a CMB you aint ****. I am not knockin anyones CAB but all our non medical troops received CAB's but the medics weren't allowed to get them because we were part of an Infantry Brigade. I had 3 instances that I would have gotten a CAB for if I would have been attached to a different type of unit. It kinda bothers me because I am trying to get promoted and a CAB is worth alot of points towards promotion. But my next deployment I will be eligible for only a CAB. But do I really want one. Not really. Cause that means I have to cheat death once again. I'm fine just rockin my jump wings and thats it.
Unfortunately, both awards are given out too frequently and when not authorized. This is why I now call the CMB the "Free MB". However, on the other side, alot of units don't know how to interpret the regulations because they have never dealt with the 68 series MOS, so actual Soldiers who earn it, never get.

You say your Navy and when you were heading into the Mega Building... Are you referring to the Big building on N.A.S.Pensacola? I am Air Force, but I was an instructor there from 2003-2007 for our Aircraft Structural Maintenance career field.
