I can tell you from experience up in Northern NH, the LT version of the Ridge Grapplers is not great at all in snow/icy conditions. I left them on for the first couple storms we had up here and Immediately regretted it. Swapped over to my stocks with Firestone Winterforce and was good to go.

I have 33" Ridge Grapplers on my wrangler, C load range. They are a great tire. Awesome ride, quiet, handle the wet very well and in my experience in the snow they performed really well. Granted this is on a light wrangler.
I am reading and researching the hell out of tires and Im thinking way too much about it. Have a 2014 FX4 with OEM 20's ( 20's wouldn't be my first choice I bought it as a left over). Im between 275/60 20 XL or E, or going to a 17" wheel and going 285/70 17 C rated or to an 18" wheel with the 275/70 18 in E. As others in this thread have mentioned Im concerned about the E rated tires (increased weight, stiffer sidewall), I don't tow, usually carry rather light loads so I don't need E. But I do like the look. more aggressive look=way heavier and stiffer tire. Decisions decisions

So I picked up a set of the 275/60 20 ridge grapplers in the XL load range, just like SGB020 further up in the thread, and really Im happy with the choice. For me and my uses Im really glad I didn't opt for the heavier LT. They look great for the subtle change in size, they ride great, no change in performance and just the slightest hum at highway speeds. Were not too expensive either, $208+tax per tire mounted and balanced. Just wanted to follow up, anyone has any questions feel free to PM me. Thanks.

Anyone notice tire drone noise at 35mph with the ridge grapplers? I have a drone noise that is loudest at 35 then gets quieter as speed increases or decreases. Trying to figure out if others hear this as well, so I know if it’s normal or not.

Only hum i hear is at highway speed (275/60 20). Have 33x11.5 on my wrangler and its a bit louder, completely diff vehicle tho. What size are you running?

Mine have slightly more noise then my ko2 did but ride a lot smoother. After this set I may try some fallen wildpeak at3. So far so good on my xl rated ridge grapplers!
