Exactly! My C rated wranglers have almost 500lbs less load rating, are heavier, and much stiffer than an XL rated tire.

The Terra Grappler G2 is out now in a 295/70r18 XL load as well.

Nitto tires are great but they take 80 psi. Tough to get a fill at the local gas stations and I end up using a Viair 300p compressor at home to get my tires up to 80 PSI. Highly recommend the Viair compressors.

That's one of the beauties of XL load tires. They usually go up to 50 psi max.

Not yet, think I'm going to wait till October when my inspection is up to get it all done at once. I've backed off the e rated RGs in stock size - probably way too stuff with 55 sidewall.

Right now I'm between the RGs in 275/60, p rated Duratrac 275/60 and KO2 275/55 - everyday my mind changes between the 3

Can you take a nice long drive north this winter? Hoping to find out how they run on hard packed snow and spotty iced up roads. Starting to see a lot of these tires in town in the middle of Iowa so i assume they are at least okay.

In the stock P275/65R18 size the XL doesnt have any higher load range than the SL. They are both 116. SL is 2756 lb at 35 PSI and XL is 2756 lb at 41 psi. If those are Euro-Metric instead of P they will be at 36/42 psi instead. Apparently since the SL moved from 114 to 116 the XL has not kept pace. Can't say if this is true of the 20's as well.

Looks great! I have a set on the way. Have you measured how tall the tires exactly by chance?
