i am looking to get new wheels and tires for my truck. i have a couple of questions first. i have a 2009 ford f-150 4x4 extended cab shortbed truck with factory 18 in aluminum wheels. i was wondering if i can drop down to 17 in rims and if i can run a 285/70r17 in tire. i want to run 17x9 matte black xd strike wheels with 285/70r17 in federal couragia mt tires. does anybody have any experience with these tires are they any good or are they crap thanks.

Yes and yes but not much for tread wear. I'd personally go with a destination m/t I've run 3 sets before and LOVE them. Takes me anywhere I need to go.

thanks for the reply seth i dident figure the milage would be all that good. my truck is more of a pavement pounder but i love the look of those tires.
