Default New vehicle delivery tracking

Why doesn't Ford have a system in place to track new trucks when they leave the production plant and are on the way to the dealership. I'm not talking about Cotus order tracking I'm talking about being able to physically track a truck while it's on the road. I would think by now they would have a system in place. Instead of just having a estimated delivery date.

Ford does, your dealer should be able to do it if he is sharp.

My dealer told me when my truck was loaded, where the train car was, and when the train arrived in Vegas. Two days later I took delivery.

got my registration for my new truck today so now I can't drive my old truck. but still no truck. They said it's on a truck and should be here Monday or Tuesday. They are giving me a new f-150 to drive as a loaner till it does show up.

Wait, you're already traded in your existing vehicle without having the new one?
What is going to happen if there is shipping damage to the new truck?
What's going to happen if something that you've ordered didn't get installed during the build?
Have you already accepted the new truck (and registered it) sight unseen?

Something very wrong with registering a truck before taking delivery. Perhaps not legal as you have not taken possession or verified VIN. Never heard of this before.

i signed all the paperwork for it on 3/31 to get a few more discounts so I could get a lower monthly payment. The truck was supposed to be here on 4/6. My current truck is a Silverado lease which is going back to gm. So technically yes I did except the new truck sight unseen, but I did have something written up and had the owner of the dealership signed it to cover my *** in case something is wrong with the
F1 50 that I'm getting. If something is wrong with the new truck they will be taken care of it.

That's crazy, but it's your dime.

You get rebates at time of order, or time of delivery, whichever is higher (provided dealer does it correctly). Getting rebates before delivery could land him in trouble with Ford, but that's his issue.
