New truck-uncomfortable seats

So we bought our first new vehicle in 12 years, a 2017. F150 XLT. Love except for the seats. Drove it for two days now both of our backs are killing us. Not really happy about this. Didn't bother us during the test drive. Reading through this forum briefly it seems either get 10 Way seats or buy a dodge. Asking for some other options here. Trying a towel on the seat doubled up for more support towards the rear of the seat. Hoping additional cushion can be added if the towel works. Very discouraged. This was a huge purchase for us.

For many years my dad used a small contoured cushion in all his vehicles....because of back pain. I'll try to google it.

Like this, but his was never memory foam.

Search lumbar cushion.

Worst seats ever!

We’ve owned an explorer, expedition and never had comfort issues. My husband is 5’10 190lbs. And I’m shorter and lighter and our FordF150 seats are absolutely torture on our hips for long trips.

Can’t buy another one because the seats

We were looking at the 250’s but the seats look too similar to our 150. They seem ok at first then they destroy you. The back seat isn’t any better. It’s so much money seems like they’d improve them. So sad to have to go to another brand because of the seats!

I always get power seats for that reason... they tend to be more comfortable. That and I'm 6'3" so if I can't lower them, I hit my head on the roof of most vehicles.

If the towel works for you, I'd find a good auto upholstery place and have them stick some foam in there.

10 people out of 100,000 complain and they're the worst seats ever. If they changed them to be comfortable for you 999,990 out of 100,000 would complain.

Find a good upholsterer and have them customized. Ta-daaaa.

Does it have adjustable lumbar support?

Well, I just bought a 2017 F150 Lariat. Had a 2010 F150 XLT. What I noticed is that the seat in the 2017 does not go back as far as the seat in the older truck. The seats are comfortable but wouldn't mind if it slid back another inch or two...

I am driving a 2017 Ram while my 13 is in the body shop, I have had back surgery and the Ram seat is killing my lower back, So Ram isn't the answer for me.

Thanks for the replies. I'm just devistated due to the magnitude of the purchase and what it means to my wife and I. We don't get new vehicles often, so when we do it's a major purchase. I'm hopeful we can find a solution. I'm calling an auto upgrade place today. I'll post updates as I have them.
