Default new truck surprise

I just got my new ecoboost crewcab tonight and had my dealer get one in the color I wanted. When he brought it over something looked different than my 10' crewcab. He got the 6 1/2 foot bed instead of the 5.5 foot. I really didn't mind, but I'll have to get a new tonneau. I'm really used to the smaller bed. Will it take some getting used to or does anyone think I'll notice the extra foot? Handling difference? thanks

You will hardly notice the difference, I like the look of both, but the longer one will come in handy someday.

Think you will like it in the "long" run.

You'll notice in a tight parking area!

I don't kick myself at all. The 6.5 looks like a school bus.

my titan was 6.5 bed. I hated parking it. Yes it did come in handy on a couple occasions, but definately not worth it in the long run for me.

I couldnt wait to sell it, and I had a couple people turn it down since it was a long bed.

Nah, you just need to learn to back into spaces, it's not difficult and it really is a lot easier to back it in, than it is to pull in and then try and back out.

Again, not if you back in.

Wait wait wait.

You mean to tell me people have different opinions? And some of us think that the 5.5 bed looks like a compact car? That's insane.

The 6.5 bed will be a but heavier. So you might notice a slight loss in MPG, it has a longer wheel base so it's turning radius won't be quite as good, but I think as long as you like the look of it the extra foot of bed space will outweigh learning to back into parking spaces.
