New Tires (wide or tall?)

I like them a lot. They ride rougher than my stock wheels/tires but I expected that. I went from an 18x7.5 rim with a 265/65 P rated tire to a 20x10 with a 33x12.5 LT tire. Much stiffer and less sidewall, that will equate to a rougher ride. I wanted to run 35's but I didn't want to cut out my crash bars.

I like the pizza cutter look.
I'm using 265/70/18's which are 32.6"X10.4". That is close enough to a 33" tire for me. A narrower tire works better in mud, snow, and wet pavement. More width works better in sand, rock crawlng and dry pavement. I rarely get in sand, no rocks to climb on and I don't try to drive it like a sports car on pavement.
I think a 275/60/20 would work well if you drive in similar conditions. They would be 33"X10.8"

[QUOTE=tareed94;5440005]What's your current setup? All I had to trim was plastic, well and grind down a metal lip behind the fender liner.
I currently have 20x9 wheels with 0 offset with 2in front level. Not sure if I can run 35s on that. Would love to if I can

I think you'll be able to run that. My final setup was equivalent to a 20x9 with a -18 offset on a 2" level (Rancho struts) with 35x12.5 Trail Grapplers (actually measure 35.04"x13.39"). The Dunes were either a +20 or a +1, I bought them used and they weren't sure of the offset. I'm assuming +20 though. I always use the calculator below for wheel fitment questions.

I like to have mine well balanced between tall and wide. Narrow tires are better in snow (we have harsh winters) so I can't afford to have these big *** tires since I use them all year long.

I live in upstate NY, so I have a set for winter and summer. Summer - 37/12.50R20, 37" tall and 12.5" wide. Winter - 285/75R18's, 35" tall and 9" wide.
Need the tall tires do to the gear swap, 3.55 to 4.11's. I travel highway mostly, don't want the truck winding out at a higher RPM at highway speeds.
