Default New Tires (wide or tall?)

Getting new tires soon, but not sure if I want to go wide or tall. My options are 305/55/20 or 275/65/20. I like the tall tire but also like the wideness of 305.

Anyone have preferences? I have a 2014 f150 with 2in level.

Will take pictures too.

That really depends on the terrain you're looking to traverse (provided that's why you're getting bigger tires).

That's what I'm leaning towards but the extra inch on height with the 275/65/20 still sounds good lol

Really though, why not do both? You should be able to clear a 35x12.5 under that level. My '07 did and I know people in the 09-14 range did. Hell, I did it with 20x9 +20 Fuel Dunes, 35x12.5 Nitto Trail Grapplers, and 1.5" wheel spacers on my '07 with minor trimming. Lol

I realize now that my question was dumb because regardless of sand, mud, clay, rocks, you would benefit from taller AND wider. Lol

Alternatively, you could go with a 33x12.5 (close to a 305/55) and get a more aggressive tire, and slightly taller than stock. That's what I've got on my current truck.

First off, your truck looks great!

Second, how do you like the 33x12.5s?
