New Retrax Retractable Tonneau Covers Leaking

Hi, guys
I bought my 2019 F-150 Platinum about 2 months ago and the problem that I'm having is the Retrax Retractable Tonneau Covers (I think the model is RetraxPRO MX). I bought the tonneau cover from the dealership about $1k6 with 36k or 3 yrs warrant together with the truck. The tonneau cover has been leaking since it was driven away from the dealership. I brought it back to the dealership about 3 weeks ago and they said it was fixed but not 100% waterproof because it's an aftermarket product. (The funny thing here is that I locked the tonneau cover with the key when it was at the dealership, so how were they able to open it to adjust the tonneau over?). I compared the short video that I took not too long ago in a heavy raining day with what they said is the tonneau was fixed and the truth is that it not was actually fixed.

My question is for those who own an F-150 with Retrax tonneau cover, do you have this much water in the bed when it rains or this is just a common issue?

I get about the same amount of water going through a high pressure spray wash. Normal rain I get a little seeping in from the tailgate as the flap type seal doesn't go over the top of the tailgate.

Oh ok, I got the same amount from the tailgate as well, so probably it's a common issue. Do you know or have seen a bed storage similar to this picture that works well with Retrax Cover? I need to put one either inside or outside of my bed similar to the setup of this image but don't know how well does it work with Retrax Cover.

no tonneau cover is 100% waterproof

Yeah, I didn't know that, I just called Retrax to verify that. Thanks. They said it will be waterproofed unless the cover is welded into the truck. But the reason I asked because the salesman told me it's waterproof, but it's alright. I'll get a small storage to put it underneath the tonneau cover.

I've got a HAWK brand 10Gal tote from Lowes that are low profile and fit underneath the tonneau casing on my Retrax MX Pro XR. One fits all my straps, hitch, gloves, a spare coat, etc.

As far as the cover leaks, none will be 100% waterproof but the Retrax is middle of the road because of the low-profile design. The plastic snap on water drains they provide aren't great and I'm keeping my eye out for a better solution there as well.

There is a cover out there that has the box integrated with the canister, but there's nothing I know of that goes with the Retrax for over canister storage.

I had an ARE on my old truck it was pretty much 100% waterproof (it leaked due to the age of the seals). It was made of fiberglass and the lip that went below the top of the bed. It was something like this, https://www.4are.com/product/overland_option/
