Not bad at all. The 2.3L EB is no slouch in the Mustang.

It doesn't look too bad though, fairly typical looks of all the new trucks, not fugly, just not good looking. I'd like to see it person though, I could change my mind. Maybe.
Thanks for the find OCMike.
That pretty much sums up my feeling on it too. Sorry if calling it a 4 Banger offended anyone. Look on the bright side...I could have called it a S***HOLE Four Banger.

It looks to be a nice truck. Almost more of a let down was the steel body. That would have made the Ranger something really special, shed a few pounds and be more resistant to rust.

Ford can and probably will add different power down the road. Changing body material won't happen till the next generation.

280HP and 310TQ is a problem? Offering the 2.7 would cut into the F150 market.

Those are the Mustang specs...... expect different #s with the Ranger

Kinda like the 5.0 in the mustang VS the F-150

280 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque are actually the Explorer specs. If that's the same for the Mustang I'd expect them to be the same for the Ranger.

But.... like you said.

( Correction the Mustang is 310/ 350.......) I thought you were quoting the #s he said in the video.

I didn't realize they had a 4cyl. option for the Explorer....

But I agree the explorer Eng. #s sound the most logical....

I'm a little let down by this as well. The biggest disappointment to me is the lack of at least one alternative upgraded power plant. The new 2.7 with dual fuel injection would have made this a competitor for that second spot in my garage, but I simply have no interest in the 2.3 4-cyl eb. Is Ford the only manufacturer limiting its mid-size truck to a single engine?

The styling doesn't necessarily appeal to me either, but I think its mainstream (dare I say feminine?) appearance will do fine with its target demographic.

Bisexual might be a better description.
