Everything is bone stock from the dealer. I never got it leveled. Is this tough to do? I figure i would rather go 295/70/18. any videos or tutorials on here about trimming valence or leveling? I've done a suspension lift on my LR Discovery in the past, so i have 'some' experience. Thx for the advice/help.

305/55/20 Ridge Grapplers are about $100 more per tire than 305/55/20 Falken A/T3W. That's a lot...The Pros of the Nittos are they look better and are 10 lbs (each) lighter.

For 17" wheels which is what I run, the Falken is actually lighter.
I suppose looks are subjective. I like both tires, but I like the Falken better. The large face of the center tread blocks on the Nitto will likely get louder over time also.

According to the data posted by both manufacturers, the Falken is only 6 lbs. heavier in that size.

The Nitto's also hold up considerably better on gravel. May be due to the softer compound the Falken's use.
Looks are subjective, but I much prefer the sidewall and tread design of the Nitto's, they look different and beefier. The Wildpeak looks more like a standard AT.
I really like that the Falken's are a winter rated tire though, Nitto dropped the ball on that one IMO. I guess they want to point you to the AWO.

The center tread block pattern on the Nitto's is specifically designed for noise reduction.
The Nitto's also hold up considerably better on gravel. May be due to the softer compound the Falken's use.

My brother's Nittos are loud when he passes me on the highway. I chalk it up to that long flat face on the center tread. Large blocks are always louder when you don't orient them circumferentially. My Falkens do have some hummm to them also.
I also disagree about the look, because the Falkens actually have more tread voids and are more aggressive than the Nittos.
Having said that, I guess that's why we have choices. There's a tire for everybody.

Save the Manuals!
I've had my Nittos for 5 k miles now and I'm still very happy with them. They have been on a road trip to Alabama and handled everything from rain to snow perfectly. I haven't done any off-roading with them yet so I cant speak to that aspect but I'm hopeful they will do well in sand (I do a lot of surf fishing)
