New to F-150s
I am in the process of purchasing my first F150. It’s a 2018(new on the lot) Lariat FX4 Supercrew. It has the V8 and the 502A package. I’m moving up from my trusty 2008 Explorer Sport Trac V8 4X4. Any cons to this model that I need to be aware of? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

If it the 5.0 engine you are looking for your options are limited on the 2018s around. You can probably get a better price on a limited or platinum in the ecoboost line if that is a consideration.

My take on the window sticker is that truck is loaded for bear. It has most if not all food groups. lol
If it were me i'd want the Sport package understanding though that some want the larger center console storage or bench seat instead.
Myself, i'd pass on the moon roof but again some prefer it as problematic as it appears to be on this forum. Maybe the '18's are better built.
If you buy the truck i'd make sure the extended warranty covers the moon roof.
One other thing unless i missed it, no premium sound with a factory sub. Maybe thats standard now on the Lariats, don't know.
I would not buy another F150 without the factory sub.

It's what many consider the best of the worst for Ford. It's far better than the previous Sony Premium. I have the B&O in my Limited, it offers additional power, a behind the seat sub, much better speakers and a center channel. I think it's a big step up from what they had but there is always improvement over a stock system don't care how good it is. The integration makes upgrading beyond just speakers a challenge but it can be done.
