ok so i got a new exhaust about 2 weeks ago, i had it custom bent, with a flowmaster 40 series put in and DOR exhaust tips (Dual-Rear). only thing i dont like about it is its not mandrel bent so the pipe gets smaller at the bends = inconsistent flow.

the best part of the it was that i removed 2 of my catallytic converters:
1. very illegal, and may not pass smog, esp if headers are added
2. better flow of air = louder sound, better performance and mpg

my truck had 4 catallytic converters originally, so i still have 2, and theyre the ones located in front of the 02 sensors, so i dont get a check engine light, i had the guy weld pipes where the previous ones went, and he said if i fail smog, hell weld them back in for me

he gave me back all the old parts and the whole thing only cost 420$, which is $100 cheaper than the flowmaster kit, which my exhaust puts to shame

sounds good. i got a 40 series flow put on my 97 but everything else is stock. i thought of getting dual exhaust with headers but i dont want it to be too loud. its just right for me right now especially because sometimes i have to drive 40 miles to the college and i dont want my ears to be ringing by the end of the trip lol
