Default To Buy or Not to buy - On the Fence

I have an opportunity to purchase a 2010 F-150 Lariat FTX (Tuscany pkg.) Crewcab 4x4 for $30,000.00. It has just about ever bell and whistle from a 5.4L to Rearview camera, Sony Radio, and Nav system as well as the standard Lariat pkg items. Awesome truck. My issue is that is has almost 80,000 mile and was used "commercially". That is a lot of mile and the warranty only covers it to 100,000 miles.

Am I over thinking this?

FTX don't exist. Someone stuck a lot of after market stick ons. Its probably an xtr that someone put an after market gps in along with the leather seats.

With the discounts going around now you can get a 2013 supercrew xtr new for 30k

It's not a factory model but it is a thing .

Too much plastic crap for my taste.

The FTX is a Ford branded by Tuscany. It is the same type of branding and upgrades for an F-150 like Harley Davidson, Eddie Bauer, etc... Ford does use Tuscany to upgrade their Lariats as I have seen brand new F-150 FTX's on the dealers lot. It's actually a Lariat with added upgrades.

Not trying to discredit anyone, but they do exist.

You can't build them of the ford websites. I wouldn't consider them like the harley trim. Its more like roush, an aftermarket mod company certified by ford.

Its good that the truck was modded by an official company but due to the fact it was used as a commercial vehicle it may have a lot of wear and tear.

Some people on the forum posted up lariats with nav from texas going for 32 grand new. Platinums going for 37k. There really is not point buying a 3.5 year old truck with 80k miles for almost the same price.

I got my 2011 with 2,000 miles on it for 39,000. And like the others said tuscany takes the trucks and does their own thing to them. There is 3 more brand new ones right up the road from me, and the asking price start at $59,000 depending which trim level. A little steep if you ask me!
Here's mine

Yeah the "used commercially" with 80k for a 3 year old truck would steer me away

Agreed with everything everyone has said... that is over 25k per year and a commercial vehicle to boot. Keep looking
