Default Nerf board/running board question

Good Morning All,

I have a 2010 F150 XLT with the original factory nerf bars. I was given the new style running boards off of a 2015 F150. The mounts are a little different (see attached pic) ... but I would like to make them work somehow. Has anyone had any luck putting the new style running boards onto a 2010 F150? Thank you.

I just put 2015 boards on my 2011. You are correct, the new mounts are different.

I used the original mounts and trimmed them back 3/4 inch. I put the new boards on the old mounts, lined up where I wanted them, marked them and drilled new holes.

I think they came out pretty good.

That looks really good. I wish you lived in Michigan so you could help me out, Ha. Did you have any issues removing the new mounts from the new boards? I basically had to snap/cut the old bolts on the old boards because they would just spin... between the lock tight and the rust they weren't coming off.

No, All the bolts unscrewed nicely. I was fortunate and found a set that were removed almost right away.
