Negative Dealer Purchase Experience
Has anyone had a Ford dealer order an incorrectly optioned truck for you, and then at the same time your salesman tells you the dealer rather than the buyer keeps all rates/incentives, even though the sales agreement states otherwise? The salesman's solution is to cancel the order/trade-in, and refund the deposit. Does this sound like a whole lot of crap to anyone else?
Naturally, the owner and other Management staff are not working on a Saturday, however, I have emailed them and advised them of the situation. Do you think Ford would get involved in a situation like this? Yes, I am sure I can match, or better the deal elsewhere, but it sort of pisses me off that a dealership/salesman would waste my time and jerk me around like this. What do you think?

Ford wont care. Get your deposit back, save yourself a bunch of mental anguish and go elsewhere. Make sure you tell friends and neighbors though!

Get your money back and move on. Was this an actual order or did they fish it off another dealer? Doesn't really matter, I just wondered.

I would take the paperwork for the canceled sale to a competitor and say "if you will make or better this deal you get my business right now."
Assuming they do, I would buy from them and follow up with the first dealer's ownership once I had the vehicle, explaining how they lost my business.
Maybe a call to the BBB about the rebates/incentives, but don't expect much on that front.

I don't want to disclose the dealer name at this time. Better to see what the owner says on Monday. They have an excellent service department, and have used them to service my truck multiple times. I did get a copy of the deal sheet, although the salesman refused to give me this at first. He also did not respond to earlier requests for a copy of the vehicle order/preview order, and did not want to give me that today. When I pointed out that a major option was not on the truck he responded, it does't matter. Very unprofessional!

If I did my job once the way I felt after a dealership experience I would be standing on a corner with a sign seeking handouts. Handing over $xx,xxx isn't like getting a loaf of bread.
