The Ford dealer is located in KY, not TN. Reportedly, the deposit will be refunded very soon. I fully concur with the advice to move on, and not do business with people that are less than fully honest.

Thanks to everyone for your concern, and taking your time to share your wisdom. One of the GREAT things about this forum is that there is a bunch of good people watching out for each other.

I wanted to let everyone know that I signed another deal this morning, and all signs indicate that I may have saved a few bucks, and found a Ford dealer and salesperson for life. When my truck arrives, and the deal is completed, I will share the dealer name and salesperson name with you.

print this thread and send it to the first dealer. Mention you just warned 1000's of loyal ford customers about his dealership.

Oh, and never take your truck there for service or repairs.

I have wasted enough time/energy with the original dealership, and although the service department for that dealer performs high quality work, I would never consider using them again.

On on the positive side, I have found a new Ford salesperson/dealership that far surpasses my expections to date. This goes a long way in restoring my confidence in Ford!

Ford has very little to do with the actual dealership. They are independently owned and operated. I started looking for a truck in Aug 2016 and didnt buy until May2017. Dealers can be great or plan out suck.

I traded in a Toyota Camry 2015 with 19k miles. One Ford dealer told me straight up they didnt want my trade and low balled me on the offer. Bc they are a Ford dealership. The dealer where I finally bought couldnt believe a dealer told me that and they offered me on the high side of trade value.

As far as not wanting to tell the dealers name, why hide it? They had no problem with the way they treated you.

Shadowmaker,

Thank you for sharing your experiences. I failed to mention earlier, I did receive a full refund of my order deposit from the original dealer. I also refused and laughed at their offer to order a new truck, provided I let them keep all incentives and rebates, which was the opposite of what was stated in the original purchase contract. Why do I not want to release the dealers name here on this forum? Because that's my preference, and I have
dealt with them in my own way. Agree, there are many different levels of dealers, however, this situation is a first for me, and I have been buying and trading vehicles for more than a few year's.

My current Ford dealer, also found it hard to believe that another dealer would treat a customer in such a manner. When my truck arrives and is delivered in good order, I can assure you, I will be happy to award them with some well deserved kudos.
