Default Anyone pull pontoons?

I so cannot wait until spring to pull our pontoon to the lake. My 1994 f150 had no issues so the 2013 should pull like nothing. My set up is a 2013 5.0 litre pulling a 24 ft toon on a tandem trailer. So cannot wait. Who else pulls a large boat?

The 94 had a 5.0 litre as we'll and the toon is approximately 3800 lbs. weight is not an issue just cross wind . The 2013 has much more HP.

Do you pull yours out of the water in 4 low or high? I know what the manual says just curious? Look forward to many trips to the lake this summer.

I have a '09 FX4 with a 5.4l and I pull a 21' Searay Sundeck. It is usually hooked up about every weekend in the summer time, we trailer it to the lake and the river.

We have our 20ft pontoon on a single axle trailer - total weight 3000lbs.
It's pulled with the 2010 4.6L and you certainly know the boat is back there - wind and aerodynamics play a huge part in towing one of these.
When pulling out at the ramp, I'll use 4hi.

First of all I must say "Go Jets go". Now towards the topic. I asked about the pulling out if water as the manual states 4 low. My old ford use to really rev before it pulled the boat out of the water. Was wondering if 4 low makes a difference. Only one way to find out. Come on spring.
