Do you NEED a new vehicle or do you WANT a new vehicle?? I ask myself this question everyday.. I have a 07... Nothing wrong with it but I want a 2012-13... No particular reason..., it's more advantageous to be payment free for a while.. Save money and catch a better deal down the road when it's time to get another vehicle

I agree. If you can make do try to be car payment free for a while. Take the money you would pay in a car payment every month and put it in the bank. I held out for a long time driving an old car because it was paid for.

I would make do and save up money until you can upgrade without a payment. Thats what I just did to buy my first F150. I hate car payments and don't intend to have one again. Once you don't have a car payment, it does make you like that current car a lot better.

i've never had a car payment and i've got 3 vehicles. i'd save for awhile instead of borrowing more money.

Another way to look at it is....don't get me wrong I love my 98 but as far as room in the cab for your child, there's not much. After 04 there is a lot more room. Let's face it....those kids don't get any smaller!

Krack, only you know. If the 04 for $4K looks like it's dependable, doesn't need new tires etc. and you like the features that's a nice add on. I bet that truck will also hold it's value well based on general info. A bit depends on the mileage.

I have a 06 King Ranch 4X4 and also wanted something white to drive in this heat. I have looked and looked for a 1960's stepside and just have not found what I wanted. I bought a 07 white single cab work truck a couple weeks ago to get er done but I'm still looking for my 60's Ford.

There's no rush, there's always another truck but if you find one you like that's a good deal sometimes you have to pull the trigger. Like you say; if you don't you may spend the $$ on small things. AND, since you said CAR payment, there's a lot to be said for adding an affordable truck... Do a good inspection...

EDIT: OHHHH! You HAVE a truck and a car already. Man, this is a tough question; you're just talking about wants and $$. You talking about adding a 2nd truck to the car and the truck versus trading up? Good luck!

Im saying either adding a 97-03 4x4 scab to my current loan or selling my current truck and using that money pay off my car and then buy a 04-08 4x4 screw
