I have a 1990 F150 that has a Flowmaster single entry to dual out muffler with twin pipes. It want it louder. I read that holes can be drilled in certain spots to make it louder but an not sure about this. I would appreciate suggestions.

Don't drill holes. It just gives it a place for rust to start and will likely cause backfire upon deceleration.

How loud are you going for? Me personally, I'd run pipes off of each cat, to 12" cherry bombs, and then straight out the back. I did it on my '07 F-150 with the 5.4, sounded mean and was LOUD. I used to set off car alarms. No crossover at all, what you heard out of the tailpipe was the sound from each bank.
