I've seen these fly off on (extremely) windy days here in Kansas while parked in a parking lot. Wouldn't recommend a soft tonneau ever.

Also, if you live in a windy area (I don't think Atlanta is too bad, but I'm sure some of the other posters could relate), if these covers get loose at all, it allows the wind to get underneath while you are driving and if you've got a decent crosswind, I've heard that it can be a real pain in the *** trying to keep your truck from pulling around.

Will wonders never cease, I took this diamondback cover off of my 06 chevy silverado when i sold it, put it on craigslist, then i decided to try it on my 2010 fx4 and sure enough IT FIT !! I did have to shorten the catch rods a litte in the front , and adjust the height a bit but its on and i just saved myself about $1400 for a new one. maybe i'll have them spray this one with the bedliner ,or maybe keep it the way it is what do ya think?

I say spray away. It'll make it blend in a little better. Personally, the only flashy-ness I like on my truck is chrome bumpers. Outside of that, understated is my method.

I have a soft cover on my 04. When I got it the edges were coming when I got to highway speeds but I put new velcro down and it has been fine since. My brother in law has one on his 01 and it was put on there when it was new. He has had no problems with it. I would have no qualms about putting a soft cover on any truck of mine. They still offer pretty good protection if needed but can roll up in a snap if I need to throw a 4 wheeler or anthing in my bed.

Go on craiglist , youll find one cheap.
I have the snug sl cover on my 2004 f150 and love it . Got it on craigs list for 350.00 , retails for 1,200. Protect my tools or anything I put back there. But I also have a trailer if I have to move anything big. It's not going to make a noticeable difference on mpg. Also improves the looks of truck.
