Default Navigation Screen

I have a 2015 Lariat. The address page on the navigation screen is not working properly. To put in an address, the numbers work fine, but when the street name is to be put in, all of the letters do not light up. Which means you cannot touch some of them. Anyone else having this issue?

Without some screenshots, or more detail, it's difficult to see what's going on. In my wife's '13 Edge Sport, once you start to enter an address, by state, city, street, number...letters begin to disappear because it knows only valid street names. As an example, once you plug in a state, and city, and you go to enter the street name, if there is no street names that start with "O" (like Oak St.), that letter won't be a valid choice.

Could that be what's going on?

First put in the town, then the street and then the numbers and see if that works. My 2013 F150 and Mustang are both that way. You cannot put the # in first.

This is exactly what is happening. The address I was trying to put in is a new road that was not in the system.

Thanks for the help.

Yeah, the system works with a ''preapproved'' list of streets.

Updating your sync&maps can be done by wifi - it should be fine once updated with the new maps (unless the road you're looking for is brand spanking new). I don't know what's the process to update GPS maps & how much time it takes.

Did you read the thread?

Voice controls still won't work if the map doesn't have the road.
