My new ride

It is pretty standard to see the police, State and Federal, riding around in those down here... lots of Fords and Dodges.
Some even have a .50 Cal mounted over the cab.
Strictly business with those boys... not sayin' what kind but, definitely, serious business.
It's good to just be a commoner here!

Thank you very much..... clean and easy. I get to dial it in just like I want to.
The Lobos do everything but rub your feet, along with the F250's but you can only get them with 5 seats!
I did want that longer bed on the F250 and that diesel ( after pushing diesels around for 30 years on the job ) but family and friends are the priority..... they are only kids for what feels like a day or two.

Why would any gringo want to move to Mexico? Unless you have money, in which case you are ripe for the kidnap & ransom routine.

It is a little wild-westy down here in places and definitely not for those that can't handle some adversity but the rewards are amazing.
What I tell people is that living in Mexico is not for pussies.
However, that being said, I was a career firefighter so maybe my mentation is different than many normal people.
And, there are a lot of really big money people down here, gringos included, but the people with the real money are Mexicanos..... huge money.
All I can say is there are a lot of us down here living happily.
I have been traveling Mexico for almost 30 years and living here almost 5, raising my family.
I have had a gun pointed my way here, had a truck stolen, dealt with a thing or two most might find unusual if they never get outta their own 'hood.
In the USA I have had more than one gun pointed at me in anger, I grew up around many gangs that would make some cringe, I have been stabbed, burglarized, I spent a career on the streets in the heart of HA, Mongol and Peckerwood territory and regional chapters of those same groups along with radicalized white supremacist groups that are on watchlists right in my district, whatever, who cares?
Heck, those same white supremacists groups along with their Freemen buddies put small IED's on two of our fire station ramps, atop a dam, etc, just to gauge our responses and to see how they would plan a secondary event once all that equipment is tied up.
There is a lot going on north of the border many have no idea about..... just because you don't see it doesn't mean it isn't there. I do believe people get kidnapped in the USA, too, unless I am misinformed. Log on to a busy city's web page of their police and fire dispatch, it could be an education, or not, who am I to say what your experience is?
So, all that being said, I would not want to live in PA, either... I've seen what the weekend drunks end up doing there and, although not in PA where there have been more than one, I've responded to school shootings, etc.
However, I won't second guess your lifestyle and location choice.
I am of the philosophy of cause no harm and, as long as that is adhered to, I couldn't give two ****s about if you are gay, transgender, a wack job on the right or left or you worship satan.
I hope that answers your question in some way.
Peace.
