I had the tailgate assist on all of my trucks to keep the lowering damage to a minimum. I am with Steve on this great feature and super easy to install. I really like the 2016 assist already had the parts on it all it needed was the shock behind the passenger taillight.

Last thing I want is to open the tailgate at the same time one my kids comes around the corner. It's a safety issue. There's no "light" tailgate out there that won't hurt someone if it comes down on their head.

want..
1.75 level kit soon for frt.
Might get the tow mirrors. Not sure yet. Had on my 01.
Led back up bulbs on list.
remove flex fuel badges and put 5.0 coyote badge in place
not sure on tailgate assist yet

Done..
led interior bulbs in and tag lights.

Clean ride, but I would dump the bicycle reflectors on the mirrors, first thing I did.

Thank you everyone. All my kids are grown now so not real worried about the tailgate hitting one of them and yes it is a lot lighter than my 01. I have had a trunk since 1992 and never really had problems, but i could where it would be nice.

as far the the mirror reflectors I think i might get the f150 sticker things to put on there.

I love the color more and more everyday. my first choice was the ruby red. could not find one at all with options i wanted.

Franchi are you in cbus?

The stx comes with black inserts in the mirrors, I changed those for the orange reflectors in my 14.

Love the blue flame. Miss it. My lightning blue isn't the same. Lol.

Great looking truck. In my opinion that is one of the best looking trucks that ford has made.
