My negative experience with Granger
I kind of had the same thing happen to me. This was back in the beginning of Covid and every interaction was done online. It was not an order as I was purchasing off of the lot. I was looking for a regular cab short bed, and the dealer had found me one. I made a deposit and rode quite a ways on a motorcycle to pick up the new truck. I planned to load up the bike and drive the truck home. When I got there I saw the truck out front all detailed and ready for me. However, it was an 8' bed and I almost had a stroke. I had seen pictures of it, but they were all taken from angles that you could not tell. From the side, it is very apparent, and I do not like the look of them. I had also been given a copy of the window sticker, but nowhere on there does is state the bed length. That is when I got an education on wheelbase.
Anyway, I was apologized for the error (hard to say whose it was), but did not accept the vehicle and got my deposit back. I did lose a vacation day, gas money, and a few weeks of haggling...
You should have taken the loss and got on a plane. I would have serious buyer's remorse if I had purchased a long bed, and gotten pissed every time I climbed in it.

But, if you've already accepted the loss then just move on. You're trying to build a case against yourself now. You started out criticizing Granger now you're defending them.
I can completely relate to this kind of mix up... the other day I asked my butler to bring me my diamond encrusted golden goblet filled with wine but he accidently brought me the smaller ruby encrusted platinum drinking goblet and I was like 'what the hell' ... sorry, I can't relate to accidently buying the wrong brand new 80K truck. Good luck.

But seriously, when you save up to spend that kind of money on your first ever brand new truck, you expect it to be perfect.
(My son and I keep reading your comment and laughing out loud… made my day!!!)
