2019 2.7 ecoboost v 3.5 ecoboost 93 tune
New to the forum and will be new to an F150 this month after trading in my 2010 5.6 Nissan Titan. I have narrowed my choice to the 2019 SC w/2.7 eb and the 2019 SC w/3.5eb. The 3.5 comes with the max tow package and a $2,000 price increase, everything else is equal. I've test driven both stock, and liked the low end torque/quickness of the 2.7 more and the highway feel/power of the 3.5 more. Either engine will get 93 performance tune within the first year of purchase. I will not be towing anything more than a bass boat and the extra $2,000 and slightly worse gas mileage on the 3.5 will not be a deciding factor. Never considered the 5.0 because sound is not important (actually a detriment) and decided on the F150 because the tune only potential of the ecoboosts. However, I don't want the truck to feel cammed or always on after the tune. I do want to be pushed back in seat I feel like it, and feel stock when I'm stuck I'm in traffic. Question is for those with ecoboost tunes: Can you get a tune which keeps the smoothness of the engine while still getting a substantial increase in acceleration and power? If so, does a tuned 2.7 or 3.5 accomplish this better?

Either way, a tune is fun and with no other changes, the truck will be quiet and quick.
