Hey, I wanted to get you guys’ opinion on something.
I currently have a 2018 STX F-150 with the coyote V8 and 2wd, it’s got about 13k miles on it now.
A guy I work with is selling his 2013 Raptor 6.2 V8. It has all the options I think you can put on it and is in great shape, only drawback is it has 150k miles on it, he told me the miles are highway miles, he’s asking $27k for it.
What would you do, keep the STX or go for the Raptor?

$27K for a truck with 150K on the clock?
Not even a question, keep the '18.

TO THE MOON 204K/239K
Kelly Blue Book for a 2013 with 150,000 miles in 33101 area is $23,000
This guy is gouging the F out of you
If the body was good with no rust, and I really wanted a raptor I would consider it for trade in given the mileage and age, around $17,000
That way you have some margin if something goes wrong so you dont end up underwater on the thing

Do not get that Raptor. My best friend got an '11 with 125k a year ago. Heavily modded. Supercharged. Eight months later engine blew. Might have been caused by running regular gas, but who knows. Ten grand for a new one. Fortunately he dumped the truck a couple weeks ago. And it wasn't just the engine. It constantly had problems. A stock Raptor likely wouldn't have as many problems. But at high miles it doesn't matter what it is, problems are going to happen.
His Raptor was fast and looked awesome with all the mods. But after spending time in it and my '18 Lariat, I realized that the Raptor really isn't all it's cracked up to be.

FWIW, I just did a search in my market on Autotrader (Washington DC) 1 Raptor came up under $50,000 It is a 2017 for $49,900 48k miles. The gen 13 body is much nicer than the 2013. I would keep the '18 and Mod the hell out of it until you have a better more personalized STX- Raptor.

Thanks everybody for your opinions, I will admit I wanted the gen 3 Raptor but it’s too much and was looking at this as a consolation prize. Given the mileage though, I’m think going with Keeping 18 STX.
