talk about first world problems, you are willing to loose thousands of dollars because you don't like one little aspect of the truck (which can be easily fixed with a cushion)..

I guess its tough for a manufacturer to build a seat that it comfortable for everyone. I happen to find the seats very comfortable, and have driven a few 14 hr days with no issues.

My old man has a terrible time finding a vehicle where the seat doesn't almost cripple hin after an hour from his bad back, he also loves the seats in my 2016 f150.

Let me guess, you took a two mile test drive around the block and had new truck fever and overlooked the seats not being to your liking?

I also think the F150 seats are quite comfortable. But everyone is different. I think the seats in my Chevy Silverado company truck are terrible. It's like sitting on a blanket on top of bricks. But I'm sure some people like the Chevy seats.

I'd try a good cushion off of Amazon before losing all that money trading the truck in.

This brings up a good example that there is no one size fits all when it comes to vehicle seats.

I had a late model Silverado and found it had the best seats I have encountered on a truck but the rest of it was a steaming pile.

Too many different shapes and sizes of people to accommodate everybody in comfort.

Iv had a lifetime of abuse with 33 broken bones,(both hips ,both legs ,both arms ,shoulder.collar bone, the back 2 times, ect, ect)
My seat is so comfortable I have a hard time staying awake on long drives(kind of like sitting in my favorite 50+ year old chair in the living room),.I ended up changing seat setting to make it a little more uncomfortable when I started getting tired. I dont like that I cant go from setting 1 to setting 2 while driveing (Thats just stupid)have to do everything manually..
Did you look into having it re cushioned yet?
Another thing that helped was that raised arm rest one of the members on here sells

In 2004, We rented a new PT Cruiser to drive from New Hampshire to Indiana and back. It was an impressive car and I was amazed how comfortable it was.

The next summer, we rented a new turbo PT Cruiser to drive from New Hampshire to Florida and back. Once again, I was impressed with the comfort, noting that I could drive for 6 hours and be able to walk again when we stopped.

The next year, I bought my wife a new 2006 PT Cruiser without driving it. It was her birthday present and I didn't drive it for several months. The first time I got behind the wheel, I immediately noticed a difference in the seat. No thigh support. I thought "What the hell did they do to the seats?"

I joined a PT Cruiser forum and learned that Chrysler did indeed change the PT seating, probably as a cost saving measure. Turns out lots of new PT Cruiser buyers complained about uncomfortable seating. Many of them went to junk yards to buy the seats out of earlier PT's that had been wrecked.

My wife never complained but she is much smaller and lighter than I am. We kept the car for 11 years and then traded it in on a different brand. She liked the PT so much, we would have bought a new one if they were still being made.

I've found the seats to be much better than those in the Explorer the truck replaced. To me they are quite firm and between that and the various adjustments I can get body support where ever I need it.
