I've got a 2013 I purchased new in August of 2013. I got to about 20k miles, tuned it, and am 92k miles now. So I have 70k miles plus on MPT tunes on my EB. Zero issues to speak of, I routinely once a year or maybe a little more often, send datalogs to them to make sure everything is still as it should be, change plugs every 15-18k, etc. Works perfect.

Thats impressive on the Eco. That's the most I've heard of.

My 01 Superduty 2V 5.4 was tuned with a Edge Evolution at around 30K and I sold it with 196K on it. Only thing that ever went bad was the starter.

Seems like kind of an odd question. Like adding a tune is going to somehow break an engine faster? I don't think there is any data out there to support that.

IMO unless your racing ALL the time once you're past the engines infant mortality phase, poor maintenance is what kills an engine.

I tuned my truck at 34k miles, I'm at 67k now. Most of that was the 5* 93 octane performance tune, but I just switched back to the 87 tune last month. Going from dual incomes to being the sole breadwinner means sacrifices need to be made....

I have an 08 with the 4.6 that I bought new and installed a Gryphon tuner right around 100,000 miles, I just turned 275,000 miles today. I have never babied my truck and not scared to use the skinny pedal, it is my daily driver though and have maintained it well mechanically.

Well that de-bunks the "3.5 gotta have 93" BS.

Never heard that one before...Ford says min of 87 and max of 10% ethanol (for my 2012 at least). But they do recommend higher octane for towing. It does much better towing with 89 than 87 (both on the 87 tune). I've also towed with 89 and 93 on the 89 tune and not noticed any difference.

What BS do you speak of? I've run both tunes, the 93 octane is significantly more powerful than the 87 tune. It's a night and day difference.
