# of miles between oil changes with synthetic?
Bought a 2013 with the 5 liter recently. I will be switching over to full synthetic oil soon. As far as I can tell, I can go 7500 miles between oil changes under normal usage with regular 5w-20. Does the the 7500 go up or down when going with full synthetic or stay the same? Thanks

Yes, search will work, but seeing as how there are 98,374,589,734,908,573,490,857 threads about it, it's kinda pointless because the OP will be reading until they are dead.
Bottom line is, if you're using a full synth oil of high quality, it's likely going to be more than ok for about 10K miles ... but the real problem is the FILTER. Most people tend to forget that. You will probably need to change your filter out about 5K miles in, and then change the filter again when it's time to actually change out the oil.
There are extended life filters, but (if my memory serves me right), they are not as effective and "safe" as you'd be led to believe, and should still be changed at more normal intervals.
Also, just keep an eye on your oil life meter in your truck ... it its not perfect but it's a good guide for roughly how old your oil is, and when it should be changed. Better than that though, is that Ford recommends using that "oil life meter" as the basis for your oil changes.
