Is it me? Or is everyone on the GM truck bandwagon?

Head explodes!
I probably see more new Dodge here than new GM. But RARELY see an older model Dodge...that should be a hint to people considering a Dodge.
F150s of all ages are definitely most common here.

I know up where I am I see mostly Fords, followed closely by Ram. GM takes third place, Toyota's and Nissans seem to be few and far between.
Personally whenever I see an F-150 on the road I don't care as much because they are so common, but the new GM twins draw my eye just because I don't see them as often. The Sierra is definitely the better looking of the two, the square wheel wells are a GM thing, ugly and weird but a GM thing none the less, wouldn't look like a proper Silverado / Sierra without them

I just bought my'14 Fx4 and my buddy's dad just bought a '14 Sierra. HIS best friend shows up yesterday with his new '14 Platinum. He was pretty quiet as his buddy and me compared our fully outfitted f150's. the sierra is nice and stuff, but …meh.

Honestly, down here in South Louisiana, I feel like I see more F150's than any one other brand of "light, full sized pickups" ... But not by a ton. I see plenty of Chevy/GMC and Dodge pickups, with more and more Toyota Tundras showing up regularly. Behind that is the Nissans.
I have only owned Ford pickups, but did have a GMC Yukon (2004 model, and drove it for 4 years) ... and I can say that it was a very good, well built truck/suv. I never had a single issue with it, and it was very comfortable and well laid out on the interior. however, I never have liked the "squared" wheel wells on the GMC/Chevy vehicles ... and the Toyotas have a squared wheel well too which I find incredibly unattractive.
I used to thing Dodge was THE ugliest pickup inside and out, but they are slowly coming along to better looking pickups ... but the interiors still look like dog mess to me from the last time I got in one ... Toyota's are not too bad, but after seeing how "flimsy" they appear during torture testing, I just can't take them seriously. Nissans ... no way ... those just seem horrible to me.
So back to the late model Chevy/GMC pickups ... They seem to be taking a step back in terms of their looks ... they appear gaudy and fru-fru to me, along with even more "squared" lines/contours all over the truck. Kinda reminds me of the Lincoln versions of the Ford stuff - kind of a "let's see how dressy we can get with these things, even if it means making it look like we're just applying stuff to the truck for the heck of it.
Obviously, most all of us here are really attracted to our Fords ... but that said, I really think that the Ford pickups are as well built as anything else, if not better ... and they are far and away the best looking interior and exterior of all of them. I can honestly say that I wouldn't even think of considering another brand of pickup unless A) the Fords started having MAJOR problems ... and/or B) they just got WAY too expensive for me to afford.
and finally ... yes, I giggle to myself a little bit every time I see a new pickup of another brand because I just think to myself "Why did they choose that over a Ford?" ...

F150 is the best selling vehicle in Canada. It has been for a couple years now. It sells more than the best selling car.

Meh........ here it's myriads of all 3 brands. Company owned trucks are dominated by GM's by most of the major players. Personal vehicles ( which who really knows if the guy driving it owns it) is a mix. Lot's of Ram Sports and FX4 Fords.... and High Country Chev's/ Denali GMC's. But then the area I live in is a quite "rich" one so that's no surprise. I know that in the area I live in there are at least 3 other Oxford White FX4 appearance trucks with the hockey stripes peeled and the hood decal still on beyond mine. I long since quit paying attention to any and all other vehicles on the road..... I just live in a bubble.

Kinda funny some of the comments about GM owners.
I guess im one of few that like the looks of the ford and the chevy so i spent about a month between the gm forums and this one before I bought the fx4. On the ford forums I read where gm stinks..etc.. and some owners dumped there pos gm for the ford. Then in the gm forums. Most would say the ford is ugly and some owners traded there pos ford for a chevy
I guess every manufacturer has a few lemons and lose customers for that reason.
Anyway I chose ford because way more issues with the gm were reported vs the ford. There were a few that traded there 14 gm for another. .take the 5 k hit and hope they got a problem free one..
Glad I choose ford..2 months now and no issues
Edit..almost forgot..Chicago area I see as many Silverados as 150s

OP, I know what you're talking about. It seems like the new GM trucks are all over the place. I did have a guy tell me he will never buy another because "Ford has one or two recalls and GM has one or two parts that aren't recalled." We had a good laugh about it
