Is it me? Or is everyone on the GM truck bandwagon?

LORD MR.FORD
I wouldn't buy any GM product today knowing what I know about the company's greed and unethical behavior. Come on......they haven't even learned their lesson from the Corviar scandal back in the 70s. I hope Obama's Justice Department is gonna prosecute the people responsible for the cover up with the key switches that killed people. From what I've read, they tried to fix the problem while vehicles were still in production but didn't change the part number so they couldn't identify the bad switches once the vehicles were in service. For that reason alone, I wouldn't have one in my driveway.
They have recalled 13.8 million vehicles so far this year, more than they've sold in the past 5 years. It blows past the previous annual recall record of 10.75 million vehicles, set in 2004. Really? check it out at:

Ford is spending allot of money re-tooling their factor for the aluminum body trucks and they've done a great job with design of the Eco-Boost engines. I hope these engines will past the test of time. Allot stuff spinnin around and allot of air and fuel movin through the engine. They have 126 patents pending on the software that manages the engine and power train. And they didn't need a taxpayer bail out after the recession. In my opinion we should have let GM go broke and saved allot of lives.
I'm a FORD man and always will be.

My 2014 Ford is the first Ford for me. No more GM (government motors) for me. From what I'm seeing on the roads around here, the new Fords far outnumber the GM's.

Two words. Ford Pinto. Greed is everywhere guys just hope you don't get stuck on the bad side of it. All the manufacturers have been guilty of it somewhere down the line.

The reason I bought my F150 was that I told the salesperson what I wanted and asked him to find it on another lot since their lot didn't have it and he did.

Good ads.
The ads for GM Trucks are pretty good. All macho and chrome. My bro-in-law bought a 2014 Silverado the same week I got my 2014 F150 XLT. He is on his 4th recall and is definitley not happy. Maybe he got a bad one. I don't think so. They're all bad. If you look at the engineering, the improvements and the quality of the product and you want a trucks truck there is only FORD. Cylinder de-activation? Woo hoo!

Ford has had a few of their own issues such as the infamous 2 piece sparkplugs.

EVERY auto manufacturer can and WILL have issues from time to time. We ALL have issues at some point. The most important thing is how you deal with those issues.
I will admit freely that THE defining reason I drive an F150 is that I prefer the way they look compared to all the other trucks in that class. I didn't consider any of the following at all: fuel economy, maintenance costs, warranty, drive train, engine, options, pricing, etc.
I knew going in I wanted an F150, period. So, that's what I got.
I know for sure that for MY needs, ANY of the trucks on the market would work (functionally) more than well enough. So, in the end, it came down to which one looks best to me.

It was never a question for me. I've always only driven Ford trucks. I will always only drive Ford trucks. That's simply a fact of life for me. I have owned and driven GM, Nissan, Honda and Ford cars.
The 2014 redesign of the Silverado and Sierra are sharp looking trucks, though.
Hey now, my Mr. Coffee drip brewer is way better than your GE model.
