Matching Old Rims
Pardon me if I lapse into a mindless rant during this post. You see, yesterday I hit an obstruction and tore a hole in a perfectly good Michelin tire and bent the rim it was mounted on. Of course, my spare was flat, too.
But . . . that was yesterday. Today I am trying to pick up the pieces and move on. My ride is a 25 year-old F150 Extended cab (1990). It has only 83k miles on the clock. I put a brand new exhaust system in it this year and fully reworked the injectors and electrics last year. I was hoping to drive it until I expire (which might not be too long according to my wife).
Anyway, the rims on the truck have threaded holes that take screws that hold a cap that covers the hub. Are these sorts of rims commonplace, or am I gonna have to have the wheel re-invented? Also, I cannot find any marks on the rim to indicate the size; but the tire is a P235/75 R15 105S. If I remember correctly the 235 is the width of the tire in millimeters and the 75 is the ratio of the tire height to width and R15 says the tire is a radial for 15" diameter rims, but I have no idea what the 105S means. In buying new rims, what information do I need to be sure I get the correct replacements. I'm pretty sure these are original equipment.
First pic below shows the damaged tire and rim with the holes for the hub cap. Second pic shows right front tire on the ground with hub cap in place.

Search craigslist and salvage yards, maybe you will get lucky. If you go the new rim route, any website or local shop you go to can help you there. I'd suggest buying online, it is usually cheaper.

Thanks for the input. Mostly I needed to know if they are stock rims. I located what I need at a salvage yard.
Thanks again. It's great to know that you guys are here and are willing to help!
