Default lowering an 85 f150

So as the title says i want to lower my truck its an 1985 reg cab long box 4.9l and i want to lower it for cheap it was a 400 dollar truck i have some rims and i wanna paint it flat black and just have it as sorta a beater i was wondering the cheapest way of dropping it a few inches also is cutting the sprind a viable option?

Unfortunately he hasn't been around long enough to know the personalities of the board members.

I can understand his frustration when he posts a legitimate question for assistance on the board that's supposed to be supportive of fellow F150 owners and all he gets back is snide comments. At least give him some time to get to know us before throwing him under the bus . We all have our opinions about things such as lowered trucks or lifted 2WDs, but in addition to criticizing maybe offer a little advice.

Todd, unfortunately I can't offer anything towards an answer for you as far as lowering your truck . Good luck to you though and getting it done.
