One thing I noticed about the F150 coming from my Ranger is that the starter is quite loud. Is this normal on the 04+ 5.4 F150s? It starts fine it just seems like it is quite loud to me haha. Maybe im just not used to it coming from a lil 4.0 Ranger?

Thats kinda what I was hoping I just wanted to check and makes sure it isnt something wrong haha. I figured I would ask and if people said their starters werent loud at all I would know something was up

I don't think mines all that loud but I never pay it any mind. Did you test drive a few before you bought your truck? If so, how does it compare? Can you make a sound clip to we can here it? Otherwise I would just go to the dealer and ask to start one of the other truck on the lot.

Ya, I didnt test drive any others to compare to. I didnt think much of it until I started it with another vehicle parked next to me in a lot and it seemed really loud.Thats a good idea I might try to go to the dealership and check it out. Thanks

it was probably just because the sound was reverberating off of the cars parked around you.

my girlfriend thinks her car is going to blow up when she starts it up around other cars because of how loud it sounds. I just tell her that it will go away once she backs out of the spot, lol
