Looking for an F150 with V8 5.0 for engine swap
I'm looking to purchase a 2017 F150 Limited. This is my favorite truck of all time, but would like to have the V8 instead (not an option in the limited). I know everyone is going to say its not worth it, but if anyone here wants to possibly go in on a reputable shop doing the engine swap, I would like to know. Depending on the cost, I maybe willing to pay most, if not all the bill. The truck would have to be a 2017, and obviously have the 5.0 V8 engine.
Thanks
Thanks

Wouldn't it be cheaper to get a Platinum with the 5.0? You can always change the leather on the seats to be more limited like. Aside from the gawdy letters on the hood and the badges, that is basically all the Limited has over the Platinum (except the 2019, now that is truly a Limited).

I just did a look over at 5 star tuning, and they have the E50 tunes which pretty much gives me the power I want. I didn't think I had any ethanol stations around, but there's about 5 of them within 10 miles of me. I'm good now thanks!!

The 3.5 TT untuned has more power than the 5.0 anyway.
That is incorrect.
The 3.5 EcoBoost does not make more power than the 5.0 Coyote, but it does make far more torque.
Which is always odd, considering that horsepower is an abstract of torque over a period of time.

The advantage of the 3.5 EcoBoost is *where* it makes it's prodigious torque: down low. To take advantage of the performance of the 5.0, one needs to put the phone down and *drive*. The 5.0 is a sporting driver's engine and requires a little rpm to wake up. It doesn't need to see redline, but if you want some serious pulling power it only needs to be driven in the 2500 - 4500 range, and it will do this for years, happily. It is what it was built for.

Well technically, the EB is more powerful for "truck" use, but the 5.0 does have the "speed" advantage.

It has more torque, yes, and torque is actual work.
But to use the term "power" in a context where "horsepower" and "torque" are commonly-known, published figures in and around automotive forums is misleading.
The 5.0 develops more horsepower.

Yes it does, no argument there! Define power in the context though, truck power, or speed power? For me it's a truck, and I bought it to tow, and the EB is the preferred powerplant in that context. If I wanted to take it to the track to kick some challengers, then no brainer, the 5.0 with a Whipple! LOL
