Looking at a '16 - things to check/watch for?
Hey guys - I've found a '16 XLT Sport with FX4 package, Screw, 3.5EB. It has 21k miles on it. What are some things I should check over when I go see the truck? Anything in particular other than what you'd normally check over on a used vehicle? It's stock with the exception of tinted windows. I ran the VIN on a site I found here so I got a basic "build sheet" on it. Are there any particular items to watch out for? A forum member on another site ran it through the Ford "system" and didn't see any warranty claims, and saw that it had the door latch shields recall done.
As I said, inspect it thoroughly and ask for a carfax report...
Since your car is under the 3y/36k mark (basic warranty still active), you can purchase a ford ESP for really cheap on internet (check out flood, zeigler, etc.).
You have until the very last day of basic warranty coverage to buy one. After a few months in the truck, you'll have a feeling if you need one or not
When I buy used, I always get one.

I think the biggest thing I look for on anything used is modifications. If it's been lifted/lowered, or has something other than OEM (grille, headlights, tails, wheels/tires, etc) If so, be sure to look the mod over real close to be sure it was done correctly and no one cut any corners (or crash bars) Also wouldn't be a bad idea to request an alignment be done if there has been any mods.
Be sure to give it a good test drive as well. Try a mix of city/highway driving preferably on a familiar to you road. And it wouldn't hurt to check the engine oil before and after...just in case.

Ended up making the purchase - it looked as good as new minus a couple small rock chips on the painted bumper. Clean carfax, all manuals/documents, even had the original window sticker.
Thanks guys!
Thanks guys!
Are you planning on getting a Ford ESP joe? I recently bought a used 2016 F150, it came with some modifications (front had been leveled, front bumper and light bar, head lights/tail lights) so I'm thinking about getting one before 36k miles. I suppose I should probably investigate how those modifications might effect the warranty though.
